Data Deletion
How to delete your FileFit account and data
FileFit stores minimal information required to provide the service. You can request complete deletion of your account and all associated data at any time.
What Data We Store
- Your authentication identifier (from Google, Apple, or Facebook)
- Your email address
- Your display name
- Compression history metadata (mode, counts, and byte totals)
- Anonymous usage analytics
Delete from the App
The easiest way to delete your account is from within the FileFit app:
- Open FileFit on your iPhone
- Tap "My Account" in the top right corner
- Scroll down to the Actions section
- Tap "Delete Account"
- Confirm the deletion when prompted
This will immediately delete your account and sign you out of the app.
Request Deletion via Email
If you cannot access the app, you can request data deletion by email. Please include:
- The email address associated with your FileFit account
- Your name (if known)
- A brief description of your request
What Happens After Deletion
- Your account is immediately deactivated
- All personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days
- Anonymous analytics data may be retained in aggregate form
- Your photos in iCloud are not affected (they remain in your photo library)
Third-Party Data
To revoke FileFit's access to your authentication provider, visit:
- Google: Google Account Permissions
- Apple: Settings > [Your Name] > Password & Security > Apps Using Apple ID
- Facebook: Facebook App Settings
